LaTish Sanders

Obituary of LaTish Sanders

After a long illness, God, in his infinite wisdom, decided it was time for LaTish Sanders to take her rest and she was called home to glory in the wee hours on Monday, February 3, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1975, in Philadelphia, PA to Anna Mae Sanders and Theodore Dowling. Tish, as she was so affectionately called by her family and friends, was educated in the Philadelphia Public school system. Her greatest accomplishments in life were raising her two beautiful children, Derrell and MaSiyah. She did everything because of them and for them. She was such a proud and supportive mother. While Tish never entered the corporate world for employment. She explored many different avenues for ways to earn money and provide for her family and many friends. She was an entrepreneur by nature. She knew creative ways to make money and how to teach others as well. She was especially known for selling dinners to the community and everyone loved her delicious seafood salad and desserts. You didn't just come for food, you came for entertainment and fun. She knew how to draw a crowd. Tish brought people together. You may have entered as a stranger but you always left as a friend. Tish had the biggest heart. Through her humanitarianism she often exhausted her financial resources to help others. She would never see anyone without shelter or food. Her home was open to all in need. There were so many people from the neighborhood who lived with her and her children, off and on throughout the years. Those people became her family. She would give anyone the shirt off her back and was always available to lend a hand to everyone in need. Tish was a known fashionista. She was always rocking the latest trend or designer wear. Despite her health challenges, she found a way to become a member of Fresh Fire Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Verl Sewell. You would often find her listening to gospel music and reading some bible scriptures when she felt troubled or was sick. Her favorite things to do were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and hanging out with friends. She enjoyed occasional travel when her health allowed for it. You couldn't tell her anything when she got the opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico with her cousins. She partied like a rock star! Tish faithfully streamed church services online when she couldn't physically be present. On any given day, she could be found hanging out her apartment window or sitting on the front steps, getting the latest tea about everyone. If she saw you walking by near or far, she'd scream your name and show some love. LaTish leaves to cherish her memory by: son: Derrell Armstrong, her daughter: MaSiyah Martina, Brothers: Rahim Sanders, and Terrence Johnson, Aunt: Sara Roche', Grandchildren: Amin Armstrong and Ahmier Armstrong. Two nieces: TarRyn Johnson and Ta'Lynn Johnson, Goddaughters: Kareemah and Imeaira, godson: Rafie. LaTish was predeceased by her mother: Anna Mae Sanders, her maternal Grandmother: Angeline Sanders; and her Uncle: Moses Sanders. She leaves behind a plethora of non-biological sisters, brothers, and best friends. Along with a host of cousins and friends. Tish had a way of making everyone feel like a sibling or a best friend. Everyone who came in contact with her felt special. That's just who she was. Tish will forever be missed and never forgotten. She was an amazing woman who loved life, her family and her friends. She will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. SORROWFULLY SUBMITTED, The family
