Obituary of Ronald Demetrius Gibbs
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb… Psalm 139:13”
Ronald Demetrius Gibbs was born to Frances and Ronald Gibbs on October 12, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA. He transitioned to peace on February 4, 2014. "Ronald," "Ron-Ron," or "Ron" as he was referred to by family and friends, was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system. “Ron-Ron” at an early age showed interest in music and construction, with Music becoming his number one hobby! You would find “Ron-Ron” downstairs in his Grandmothers basement going through crates of classic albums, mixing and scratching, until he mastered the sound which evolved branding him as “DJ RON-GEEZ” Master of the 1’s and 2’s.
“For Where Your Treasure is, There Your Heart will be Also… Matthew 6:21”
He performed at parties as "Grand Grove Brother Productions", performing all over the city of Philadelphia until he relocated launching his career as "DJ RON- GEEZ" at “Williamsport Radio Station of Lycoming College” in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Since then he continued to spread his sound and love for music as "BlackRain Entertainment", performing for the Bishop of State in 2008.
“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God…Hebrews 13:16”
"Ron-Ron" had a huge heart attacking any obstacle, ALWAYS attempting to make peace. “Ron-Ron” would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar if you asked. “Ron” Loved and cherished his family, extended family, and friends. He would never part company with anyone without saying the magic words “I Love You.” He left his mark on everyone he met with his enthusiasm and smile.
“For God so Loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life…John 3:16”
Raised in a Christian home with a strong religious background, he realized it was time to make amends and return to his first love. The night before his death, he sat on the side of his bed, and made peace with his Lord.
