Obituary of Donna Emmens

DONNA LYNN EMMENS (PEACHIE) passed at the age of sixty-two on March 16, 2019. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Betty Ann Emmens and William Mason. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Emmens.
 Donna was a graduate of Chester High School, class of ‘76. She worked for Chick-fil-A, Playground Aide during the summer months, DCIU Food Service and Chester Upland School District. She was highly liked around the neighborhood, known as Mom and Miss Peachie. Donna enjoyed being around her family.
She lived for her children and grandchildren and played a huge part of their lives. Loving mother to Leo Davis “LD” (Brianna) and Lee Smith (Dominique); ten grandchildren, Keshona, Mikea, Michael Emmens, Jai’mhy Evans, Leah, Daron, Kemet Smith, Emani, Jamia, and Jiani Davis; two-Great-grandchildren Maliah and Mason Emmens; four brothers, Donald Purnell (Flo), Edward Emmens (Velma), William Emmens (Sherry) and Carlo Emmens; nine sisters, Olivia Cherry, Shalada Sankofa, Parthenia Emmens (Dino), Wendy Emmens (Jerry), Denise Fletcher (Kevin), Coleen Thomas (Norbert), Carla Young (Rufus), Lisa Brown (Pruitt), and Juanita Boyer (Quenton); a host of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Sandra Boyer, Calvin Emmens, Torro Emmens, Monique Emmens and Jeffrey Hodges. She’s playing cards, eating and having fun with her family. She befriended many people throughout her life.
