Obituary of David Carter

David Kember Carter was born to late David K. Carter and Elsie Gathers in Philadelphia, PA on April 28th, 1960. David was later raised by his stepfather Hayden Hall who he called “Pops”. David transitioned on Monday, March 7th, 2022 in Williamsport, PA. David received his education in the Philadelphia school system. He joined the swim and track team and boy he was good at it. As a teenage he used to box at the Joe Frazier gym, “David had HANDS”. David was not to be touch on the on the dance floor where he was the best bopper and won competitions. David also like to play pinochle with his friends and family. David created a family in his early years in Philadelphia, PA where he created his 4 children; Crystal who Proceeded him in death, Jarmel (Dude), Ciara (Ci Ci), Takira (Mooch). David moved to Williamsport, PA to find peace and quiet and to better his life for over 20 years of his life until his very last breaths. David enjoyed going fishing with his friends Darryl who proceeded him in death and Maurice. In Williamsport he also created a family and there he met his fiancé Debra Wooten who took care of David until the end. Although David moved to Williamsport he was still loved by his friends and family in Philadelphia, Norristown, and Tri-state area. David was the definition of Loyal to a fault, he had NO FILTER, he was comical, and was loved by many. David accepted that Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was also Baptized at New Era Baptist church. He also loved the song “I don’t know why Jesus Love me”. Although David fought with sickness, sickness did not win, God was ready for him to suffer NO MORE. David leaves to cherish his mother Elsie Hall, his stepfather Hayden Hall and stepmother Irene Cater, his four children Jarmel, Takira (Caleem), Ciara (Brian), his 13 grandchildren, Jasmine, James(Buddy) , Labron, Jahkai, Janae, Brandon, Zyair, Levonne, Teyon, Jamel, Yashir, Dustin, and Summer, his siblings, Gladys (Loretta) , Deann, Yalonda (Jake), Skylit, Isaiah (Yalonda), and Jahza (Natasha), he leaves his loving Fiancé Debra Wooten and his Norristown family, his two godchildren Nygea Williams and Raymond and a host of Aunts, about 70 Nieces and Nephews, extended family and friends.
