Obituary of Hilda M Glass

Hilda May Glass, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully no May 25,2024, at the age of 81. She was born on August 21, 1942, in Weeks Island, Louisiana. She was the 17 of 1 children. She moved to Philadelphia in 1964 and married John Gsasl in 1972. They have 6 children between them Wendy, James, Jerome, Stephan, Derick and Kalmeia. In 1989, my mother was in a serious car accident which curtailed her work employment. Hilda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a talent for crocheting, knitting, sewing, and gardening, which brought her immense satisfaction and allowed her ot express her creativity. Hilda's favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family, cherishing each moment spent together. When ti came to food, tacos and chocolate with nuts were Hilda's weakness. She savored every bite, and those who knew her well knew her love for these indulgences. Additionally, Hilda had a passion for gospel music, with The Rance Allen Group singing her favorite song, "I Stood On The Banks Of Georgia." In her downtime, Hilda enjoyed watching the VT show "Walker: Texas Ranger" and Steven Seagal movies. Professionally, Hilda's commitment to her faith led her to attend and graduate from the Jameson School of Ministry and Theology. She dedicated herself to serving others and spreading love and compassion wherever she went. Hilda May Glass wil be dearly missed by al who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will forever be cherished. May she rest in peace. She si survived by her husband, John Glass, daughters, Wendy and Kalmeia, sons James, Derrick and Jerome, as well as her brother Leroy, grandchildren, Derrick, Martina and Breeann with their children, Orlando, Rashana, Azyla and numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Hilda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
