Obituary of Sulton Tariq Calloway
SULTON TARIQ CALLOWAY, also known as “SOUP,” was born to Linda and Jamison Calloway on June 1, 1987 in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; he departed this life on June 30, 2014.
Sulton was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. He
accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church,
under the leadership of Reverend J. R. Bruce. He always showed
compassion for others with that big smile and open arms.
He was presently employed at McDonalds. He loved his job and was
ready to assist whenever needed. Sulton was also employed in the bakery
department in the Giant Supermarket. He loved to cook and was a good cook. Sulton was an avid a football fan.
Sulton was preceded in death by his son, Sulton, Jr.
Sulton leaves to mourn: two daughters, Denajia and Karine; a special
friend and mother of his children, Deja Claiborne; his mother, Linda; his
father, Jamison; two sisters, Chaquita and Leatrice; two brothers, Shakir
and Tariq; three nieces, Taliyah, Bryana and Kiona; eight nephews,
Brandon, Quincy, Tariq E., Joshua, MaKai, Noah, Jordon and Tariq F.;
grandparents, Charles and Shirley Witherspoon; great-grandmother, Lula
Witherspoon; his favorite aunt, Cheryl; and a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins and many friends.
